About Us
Louisiana is a melting pot of many cultures. It has been governed by the French and the Spanish. The influences of other ethnic groups - which include Native Americans, Irish, Italians, Africans (both French-speaking African Creoles and English-speaking African-Americans), Italians (primarily Sicilian), and Germans - have also made an impact on the state's culture.

Of course, Louisiana also has a significant Cajun population. The Cajuns are mostly descendants of Acadians from Nova Scotia Canada who in 1765 migrated to French owned Louisiana when the British took control of Nova Scotia.

Bayou Black Airboat Swamp Tours is operated by Cajun descendants of South Louisiana familiar with the swamps and marshlands that they consider their home. They have spent their lives working, hunting and fishing the swamplands and marshlands of South Louisiana. This insures guests that they will experience a personable tour by guides that are very familiar with the area.

They have been praised by their guests for being well-versed in Louisiana's history and their expertise on the flora and fauna of the swamplands. As one of their guests wrote in a Yelp review, "Unlike some tours, the airboat aspect of the trip brings you deep in the cypress swamps and affords you views not typically seen by most."
